Mental Health Awareness Month happens every May and is a time to remind people how important it is to take care of their minds, just like they take care of their bodies. Everyone can feel stressed, anxious, or sad sometimes, and that’s okay—but it’s important to talk about those feelings and get help if needed. Taking care of your mental health can mean things like talking to a trusted friend or adult, taking breaks when you’re overwhelmed, or doing activities that make you feel calm and happy. When students understand and care about their mental health, they can focus better in school, build stronger friendships, and feel more confident in their daily lives.
